Equal service

Equal service to the individual educational demands of  children is legally provided for in the Federal Constitution of 1988 in Brazil, it requires the guarantee of “specialized service for people with disabilities, preferably in the regular school system”. However, despite being in the constitution, it is still a challenge within the school scenario in the Brazilian context. In this way, a greater debate on the subject is necessary and also investments in public policies that mitigate the negative impacts caused by the school environment on people who have, for example, the autistic spectrum disorder. In addition, both specialized education and psychotherapeutic follow-up are necessary.
